_ Around the world, there are 284 million people who suffer from poor vision (WHO). This year Leo Club decided to partner up with Lions International with their project, OneSight! OneSight is an organization determined to provide glasses for the visually impaired. In many places, and to many people, it’s very difficult to buy or afford a pair of glasses. By donating glasses to children and adults, we help a child’s ability to learn and adults with their independence. OneSight is able to do this at a low cost because of partnerships with local doctors and volunteers, which gives them the ability to prescribe and pair a child or adult with glasses that fit their needs. OneSight has already helped people around the world from Chile to India, to the Philippines. By partnering up with Lions International, we hope to restore vision to many more people worldwide.

Upcoming Events

Starting from December 2, members will get a chance to support this cause and raise awareness by selling shutter shades! Each shutter shade will be sold for two dollars, and the profit will go towards this cause. For every 50 dollars raised towards this cause, a child is able to receive both a full eye check and a pair of prescribed glasses--something they couldn't have done without YOUR help!

If you sell more than 5 shutter shades, you will be have the opportunity to buy a Leo Crewneck. For the member that sells the most shutter shades (or collects the most donations), $20 giftcard to a store of their choice will be given OR a free Leo crewneck will be rewarded!
